NASEM Virtual Workshop: Accelerating Progress in Traumatic Brain Injury Research and Care

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is an alteration in brain function, or other evidence of brain pathology, caused by an external force. Through this virtual workshop, the Committee on Accelerating Progress in Traumatic Brain Injury Research and Care will gather input from public and private experts and stakeholders to assess civilian and military health burdens of TBI; examine the landscape of TBI care and research; and consider gaps and opportunities for improving systems from acute care through rehabilitation and beyond. The workshop will provide important input into the committee’s report. Virtual workshop sessions will be held over 4 days:

  • Tuesday, March 16 from 12:00 – 4:00 pm ET
  • Thursday, March 18 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm ET
  • Tuesday, March 30 from 12:00 – 4:00 pm ET
  • Thursday, April 1 from 12:00 – 4:00 pm ET
