Ramon Diaz-Arrastia, MD PhD and Kevin Wang, PhD lead the Biospecimen Biomarker Core. Frederick Korley, MD PhD also serves on the Core. The Biospecimen Biomarker Core is responsible for direct oversight of protocols for biospecimen sample collection, processing, and transportation to the central biorepository at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for storage and analysis. The biorepository at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is managed by Ava Puccio, PhD. Detailed biospecimens protocols and training procedures will be adapted from the existing TRACK-TBI Manual of Operations and Procedures.
